The balance, tinged with opulence, the richness and the sumptuousness of our Saint-Aubin premier cru, en Créot owe much to the exposure of the plot. Its south-westerly orientation and fairly steep slope (15-25%) ideally expose it to late sunshine that lingers into the evening, allowing the grapes to flourish. The name "Créot" may refer to the presence of numerous small pebbles and limestone fragments, which are indeed found in abundance in the area.
