Régis Champier is the kind of winemaker who is not afraid to get his hands dirty. Down on the farm at Champier’s, fourth generation estate in Brouilly, you will find he takes a more back to nature approach to winemaking. This involves arduous working with the soil (Champier selects and grafts the vines himself) extremely limited use of herbicides and pesticides, and natural fermentation with wild yeasts. The results are a true expression of fabulous Brouilly, noble wines with extremely generous red fruit flavours.
