Immediately evident, this wine has deep confected aromas of boysenberry, blackcurrant and chocolate sauce. The shiraz is doing it’s job to fill out the palate creating a full bodied wine with fresh palate. It is well structured with a fresh acidity on the palate balancing the robust tannins and fruit sweetness. The Cabernet is again highlighted with an earthy flavour and chalky tannins to finish. The Shiraz/Cabernet is traditionally the most robust wine of the range and a fine example of a full bodied Heathcote red.
